Friday Fun!

Today was a day of creative fun. We started by painting the base colour on our 3D paper mache bugs.

Early finishers started a creative writing buzz around the room and finally once all bugs were done, we all joined in. Tell someone at home about our Lucky Dip Writing.

Work in Progress

Check out our paper mache bugs.

First we thought about which bug we'd like to make.

Next we labelled a diagram of our bug.

Then made balls of newsprint and taped them together.

After that, we taped legs, antennae and pincers to our bug.

We then put paper mache around them...

...and left them to dry.

...and dry.

Check in next week to see the following steps. Hopefully they'll dry out enough over the weekend to put one last layer of paper mache on them!

Check out some of our work of late

The question: How do worms help us?
Follow the Inquiry process to see what we found out. The whole class had to think carefully as we went through the process. It's missing arrows, so go across the top, down, to the left and finish with the last box, ' How can I think deeper?'
These are all the children's ideas...

Proud as punch, such beautiful handwriting Dane.

Gym fun
