Christmas Tree STEM Challenge

The brief: 

- with a buddy, make a Christmas tree out of 10 straws and some plasticine

- no other equipment allowed, except scissors for cutting

- the tree must be able to stand by itself

Hologram fun!

A great activity on a hot afternoon...

Handmade plastic pyramids and hologram clips on youtube.

They're a bit tricky to see on camera, but easily seen in real life. We had enough plastic to make 1 between 2. Hopefully we'll be able to make some mini ones as well so the kids can bring some home.

What a busy yet fun morning! There are some very tired students heading home today...

I was posted at the 'Cross the Swamp' station and due to time and numbers I didn't get to see the whole class come through. Therefore not all kids are pictured, sorry.

Joshua and Dane spent 45 minutes (entire Discover time) today developing this marble run. They never gave up. It took great perseverance to complete it.
